June Newsletter

Hello friends!
It's finally summer, and time to go play outside.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area, please mark your calendars for June 6th (that is this Saturday) and come to visit San Leandro for the Cherry Festival! We've got fruit stands where you can try different varieties of cherries, we've got cherries baked into pies, and of course we've got art ๐Ÿ˜Ž You don't even have to drive and park, the festival starts just a few blocks from San Leandro BART station.
In past years the weather, the crowd, and the vibe have always been great. Please come say hi!

Things Completed

May was "special projects" month, so I did a bunch of different things.

  • Made a 'Bingo' pendant for my MIL
  • Practiced making custom box clasps
  • Worked with Kirk McCarthy to create a few more anodized bracelets, in Titanium and Niobium
  • Practice repairing rings by adding new stones
  • Tried casting 14k gold for the first time ๐Ÿซฃ

Things In Progress

June isn't going to have a strong theme the way the last few months have.
I have Cat Cameos and Variscite bracelets on the bench. I have chainmail/gemstone bracelets calling my name. I might have gold wire in my future, which could mean gold accents in a silver chainmail necklace ๐Ÿคฉ
