July Newsletter
Hello dear friends!
Summer is fully and officially here, and that means Summer Camp for many kids. I've been teaching teens at The Crucible, where our unofficial slogan this year is "put down your phone, pick up a new skill". You don't have to be a kid to have summer camp either; we're still offering a range of classes in the evenings and weekends that welcoming to all ages and skill levels.

In the coming month I'm looking forward to a really great cookout with friends, a very neat new exhibit opening up at the ACCI Gallery, and three art shows; two as lovely Friday afternoon street shows in Redwood City, and one freaky late nite show called Pancakes and Booze in Oakland!
I hope to see you! π
Things Completed
- I completed five cat cameo pendants, and in the process practiced my batch production skills.
- At The Crucible we are bringing back the Explorations in Chainmaking class, and I made a big display board! (Best way to practice)
- I bought some amazing new tools from a retiring jeweler

Things In Progress
- Working on new chainmail + gemstone bracelets, learning (still) how to make many tiny stone settings efficiently
- I BOUGHT THE LATEST FANCIEST CHAIN BOOK! Chainmaking for Jewelers by Matthieu CheminΓ©e. It might get its own book review later!
