October Newsletter

Hello friends!

First of all THANK YOU to the people who are still shopping small artists despite The Way The World Is Right Now. In the past month I got a few Etsy sales and a few Gallery sales, and they've helped to keep my spirits up.

I spent basically the entire month of September moving house. There is nothing quite like moving to make you question just how much stuff you own. (To be clear, the "stuff" being questioned was cat toys, knickknacks, and dining room chairs. The collection of rocks in my drawer was never up for debate 😂)
As of yesterday my studio space is finally put back together, although I'll be fiddling with layout and organization for probably months.

As a result, I don't have much new work to share with you.

However!
Especially for those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, I wanted to share some upcoming events that you should put on your calendars!

🌉"Bridging the Bay" is an exhibit cohosted by the ACCI Gallery in Berkeley, and the SF Metal Arts Guild. Open October 11 - November 9, with an opening reception on October 11th 4-6pm.
The reception is free, and there will be free nibbles and drinks as well as a live band. Come to see the art; both the special exhibit, and the rest of the gallery, with art in a wide array of mediums from over 100 member artists (including me).

🎓Interested in taking a class?
The Crucible in Oakland is always an amazing place for interesting classes. Two that I'm particularly excited about; Exploration in Chainmaking begins on October 23rd, and Cuttlefish Casting is officially on the calendar for December! No previous experience is required for either class. Spaces are limited, so sign up soon!

🔍I'm looking forward to three more in-person shows as the holidays approach.
(and by 'looking forward' I also mean 'panicking about having enough stock)
