Green Wyrm

Here's a major accomplishment for the month! This SeaDragon 4-piece necklace (now being called a Wyrm necklace) is the second I've ever made with riveted construction, and the first one where I've done the riveting after the enameling 😬 That means smacking the thing with a hammer to set the rivet, without smacking any enamel and cracking it.

Here are the things I love about this piece:

First, the colors are bright and almost tropical 🏝️ I am not known for loving yellows, but the lime green in this makes me think joyfully of new spring growth and warmer weather.

The parts are articulated, so you can wear it flowing in either direction 😄

The clasp is amazing. The bead has a silicone donut inside. The chain slides through if you pull on it, but doesn't slip under its own weight. Simply slide the bead along the chain to adjust the length of the necklace. Its adjustable and there's no tiny springs or levers!

I wore this necklace myself for a week to make sure the construction was sound, and I received so many compliments. I'm excited to make more, in all the colors!
